Rob Martine- Mafia in films

During my research on my term paper about The Godfather, I learned a lot about the representations of different organized crime groups in movies. Many of these films are actually made after real mob bosses such as Al Capone. Films like Scarface, The Public Enemy, and The Godfather have pathed way to many realistic takes on real life criminals. The various reiterations of mafias are realistic, despite popular opinion. It illustrates the suffering of consequences of their law-breaking way of life that goes outside the bounds of the tradition way to make a living. It is interesting to see how film has evolved based on different criminals that we hear about during our lives.
