Rob Martine- Groundhog Day

One film I wish we went into more detail with during the semester is Groundhog Day. Not only is the film hilarious but it also provides some key life lessons. Bill Murray plays a TV weatherman who is trapped in the same day (Groundhog Day) over and over again. It represents the millions of people who are stuck in a repetitive lifestyle and mindset. To fix your unhealthy tendencies, it is important to take a step back and live your life to its fullest while appreciating those around you. I know whenever my life becomes repetitive, I make changes in order to stay creative and avoid getting stuck in a rut. Especially in a time like this, it is crucial to appreciate what we have until it is gone. This film has various religious themes that teach us there is more to life than merely following the norms.
