Decalogue Post 2

Do any of the visuals of the films work as symbols that bridge the gap of understanding? How?
I believe that the computer in the first chapter was the strongest symbol of bridging the gap. This computer can do calculations as fast as anything on the planet, but yet is unable to answer the question the boy poses about his mother's dreams. A machine that is so unbelievably brilliant, yet is unable to answer a question shows the limitations of devices. Also, calculations aren't all that they are cracked up to be, as we see upon the boy's death. The computer tells us that it is safe to go onto the ice on the pond as it will be thick enough, yet wrongfully computes and ultimately leads to his son's death.
