Bladerunner

In Bladerunner, there is a synthetic race of androids who are seeking to become human. In this film, Harrison Ford plays the role of the "action-hero" Bladerunner Deckard. The job of the Bladerunners is to kill these androids if they escape. Deckard is a redeemer and can be seen as a Christ figure. His heroics develop through the movie as his job is to remove the androids from the world and bring order to the chaotic dystopia. I really enjoyed this movie because the balance between action, heroics and discussion and parallel to Christain faith is perfectly set. Harrison Ford is always able to play a good hero. A detail that was very creative in the movie was that of the snakes. A common symbol in the world due to the actions of the serpent in the Old Testament, snakes always were very present in showing the darkness that had consumed the world of the movie.
